We counsel waste generators and disposal facilities on compliance with the maze of regulations under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and corresponding state programs. Our experience includes matters involving the generation, transportation and disposal of hazardous waste; co-product determinations, beneficial use approvals and recycling; and pollution prevention and waste minimization. In one representative matter we counseled a Fortune 500 corporation facing alleged RCRA violations identified during a multimedia inspection conducted by federal and state environmental agencies. We worked closely with our client in crafting a resolution that protected ongoing operations at multiple client facilities. In another matter we advised a Fortune 100 company with numerous facilities nation-wide concerning the applicability of hazardous waste regulations to various operations and helped select cost-effective compliance options.
