Air Quality

We represent clients in various air permitting and enforcement matters involving construction permitting, New Source Review, Prevention of Significant Deterioration, Title V and state operating permits, New Source Performance Standards, greenhouse gas emissions and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs). We are regulatory counsel to a manufacturing company that routinely obtains air permits from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for the modification and expansion of its sources and facilities. We work with consultants to obtain permit conditions that afford our clients the necessary operating flexibility. We advise clients in complying with existing and future requirements controlling emissions of greenhouse gases. Our litigation experience includes representing a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company defending government claims that its operations violated pharmaceutical maximum achievable control technology (Pharma MACT) requirements and NESHAPs.
